Marina López Solà, Ph.D., is a Serra Hunter Lecturer Professor at the School of Medicine, University of Barcelona, with a volunteer affiliate appointment at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, University of Cincinnati. Dr. Lopez-Sola’s PENlab, Pain and Emotion Neuroscience Laboratory, aims at identifying brain-mind-body mechanisms underlying pain and affective symptoms in juvenile and adult patients. Research in the lab focuses on analyzing and interpreting functional brain imaging data, subjective reports of pain, emotion and thought content, and analysis of psychophysiological and behavioral responses to challenging physical and cognitive-emotional stimuli.
