Dr. Shelley O’Brien is the Education Officer at the University of Toronto Centre for the Study of Pain, where she shapes the design, implementation, and evaluation of various centre initiatives. She leads the Centre’s annual Interfaculty Pain Curriculum, which engages more than 1,400 learners across nine health and social care professions.

Drawing on a background that spans music, community-engaged arts, and educational scholarship, Dr. O’Brien develops learning experiences that encourage reflection, dialogue, and collaborative inquiry in healthcare education.
